Let's try this again.
Jeremy Stephens has been (re) scheduled to throw hands opposite Rony Mariano Bezerra at the upcoming UFC Fight Night 32 event on FOX Sports 1, which takes place at Goiania Arena in Goiania, Brazil, on Nov. 9, 2013.
They were originally expected to do the deed next month in Sao Paulo; however, a pair of injuries put both featherweight combatants on the back burner.
Stephens (21-9) bounced back from three consecutive losses to top opposition by cutting down to the 145-pound division, winning his debut against Estevan Payan in a very bloody unanimous decision victory at UFC 160 last May, his sixteenth fight with the promotion.
But he has a long way to go if he wants to get "in the mix."
Opposing him is Bezerra (13-3), winner of The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) Brazil who lived up to lofty expectations by beating Godofredo Castro at UFC 147 last year to win the featherweight portion of the show. "Jason" followed that up by hacking through his opposition, scoring consecutive stoppage victories over both Sam Sicilia and Mike Wilkinson.
Expect fireworks in this one.
UFC Fight Night 32 will feature a monster light heavyweight rematch pitting Vitor Belfort against Dan Henderson in the top slot, as "The Phenom" looks to get one back from "Hendo" after a decision loss during the PRIDE FC days.
And the victor could find themselves in line for a 185-pound title shot.
In the co-main event, TUF: Brazil middleweight winner, Cezar Ferreira, will attempt to settle his unfinished business with Daniel Sarafian, who was replaced by eventual tournament runner-up Sergio Moraes in the finale because of injury.
