MMAmania FFB A-League Week 3 Recap and Week 4 Preview

3 weeks in the books. All I can say is that the Giants suck more than OilCheck's cucumber pic.

Top 5 Fantasy Players of Week 3

1. Antonio Brown - 40.6 - Deuce - I had no idea the Steelers had any fantasy relevant players

2. Drew Brees - 34.5 - Shiv - Could he be the top QB this year? No. That will be Peyton Manning

3. Jimmy Graham - 34.4 - ViolentMike - Right now, Graham is the 2nd highest player this season. Only Peyton has scored more.

4. Cam Newton - 32.93 - Deuce - Surprised he didn't put up 50 on the Giants. Also, I think Cam might have even sacked Eli a time or two.

5. Josh Gordon - 32.8 - BJPennfan - Coming off his marijuana suspension, Gordon smoked the Minnesota D

Recap of Week 3 Matchups

ViolentMike: 129.73

donkeypunch: 92.60

ViolentMike defeated donkeypunch 129.73 - 92.60, led by the greatest TE on the planet, Jimmy Graham, who got the third-highest player score this week with 34.40 points. Both sides fell short of hitting their projections, but ViolentMike scored 89.8% of a projected 144.51 points to pick up the win. donkeypunch, coming off a 133.13 - 119.17 win against GriffinFan05, saw their scoring fall off this week. Adding insult to injury, donkeypunch had a starter with a goose egg (Josh Brown, the stupid fucking Giants kicker). donkeypunch (2-1, 384.66 points) loses $25 and drops to sixth place. ViolentMike (2-1, 379.80 points) remains in eighth place and is just 5 points short of being in 6th.

Kevin: 146.50

Shiv: 134.10

Mania's Pete Rose earned their third straight win when they beat Shiv 146.50 - 134.10. They got a lift from Adrian Peterson, who led the team with 21.50 points. The streak is the result of some high scoring by Mania's Pete Rose, who owns the highest overall point total in the league this season and is averaging 162.90 points per matchup. Shiv got a goose egg from Daryl Richardson who left the game early, which might have made the difference in the outcome. Shiv goes to 0-3 and remains in 11th place, *fart*. Mania's Pete Rose remains undefeated and on top of the league.

Buster Bluth: 123.53

GriffinFan: 105.77

Buster Bluth beat GriffinFan05 123.53 - 105.77 thanks to his two studs, Jamaal Charles who got 30.20 points and Calvin Johnson who scored 24.50. Both sides fell short of expectations, but Buster Bluth scored 82.8% of a projected 149.19 points to pick up the win. GriffinFan05 was led by Jordy Nelson with 17.30 points and Golden Tate who scored 16.70. With Hakeem Nicks delivering a goose egg for Buster Bluth, the margin could have been larger. Buster Bluth (2-1, 433.50 points) climbs into fourth place and GriffinFan05 (1-2, 367.41 points) drops to ninth place.

Deuce: 151.90

John G: 83.77

Deuce02 _WEAKSAUCE got the second-highest score this week, destroying John G 151.90 - 83.77. John G has stumbled in the early part of the season and is winless. John G was led by Pierre Garcon with 16.30 points and Andrew Luck who scored 13.87. Deuce02 _WEAKSAUCE (2-1, 381.00 points) climbs into seventh place and John G (0-3, 291.30 points) stays in last place. Not looking good for John in his debut season. He could possibly be one and done in the A League.

Joben: 156.77

TripPilch: 134.13

Joben (2-1, 450.20 points) registered the highest point total this week to beat TripPilch (0-3, 372.73 points) 156.77 - 134.13. Joben had a 77.00 - 55.00 advantage after the early games on Sunday. After the late Sunday games, they lost that lead and fell behind 114.73 - 86.50. Joben closed out the matchup with a comeback on Monday with Peyton's masterful performance.

Puck Head: 117.10

BJPennFan: 100.63

Puck Head picked up 30.60 points from Jordan Cameron and 14.60 from Michael Vick to take down BJPennfan 117.10 - 100.63. While each team performed quite poorly, Puck Head got the win with just 79.3% of a projected 147.66 points. BJPennfan suffered a drop in scoring from last week's 193.20 - 120.63 win against Shiv. To make matters worse, BJPennfan had a starter lay a goose egg (Jermichael Finley). Puck Head (2-1, 469.04 points) climbs into third place while BJPennfan (2-1, 424.03 points) drops to fifth place.
