UFC 165 Jones vs Gustafsson media day recap video

The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) made fighters available to the attending Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) media after putting them through a UFC Fit workout led by Mike Dolce. Watch the highlights from Thursday's (Sept. 19, 2013) media day extravaganza.

Tomorrow night (Sept. 21, 2013) at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Canada, Jon Jones hopes to defend his Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Light Heavyweight title against Alexander Gustafsson in the main event of UFC 165. The co-main event features former World Extreme Cagefighting (WEC) Bantamweight champion, Eddie Wineland, looking to defeat Renan Barao for the UFC Interim Bantamweight belt.

The UFC made some changes from their usual fight week schedule. In my experience covering live events, the UFC holds Open Workouts on Wednesday, pre-fight press conference Thursday, Friday is for the weigh ins, and Saturday is fight night. This time around they skipped the presser and held a media day extravaganza on Thursday (Sept. 19, 2013) afternoon.

In the above video, the MMA media were put through a UFC Fit workout with creator, Mike Dolce. They then moved inside to speak with Jones, Gustafsson, Barao, and Wineland about their title fights on Saturday night. Also available to the media were Brandon Schaub and Matt Mitrione, former teammates on tenth season of The Ultimate Fighter.

The fights go down tomorrow night on pay-per-view (PPV) and MMA Mania will be here with all your coverage needs.
