Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) will hold its 20th anniversary supershow, UFC 167, live on pay-per-view (PPV) on Nov. 16, 2013, from its usual stomping grounds of the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
"Puncher" (11-2) fought his first fight outside of Russia when he stormed into UFC with a third-round technical knockout stoppage of Marcus Vinicius at UFC Fight Night 28 earlier this month. That victory increased his unbeaten streak to nine consecutive bouts.
Elliott (10-3) has won two straight fights after dropping a unanimous decision to John Dodson in his UFC debut in May of 2012. This past December, he outpointed Jared Papazian at The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 16 Finale in Las Vegas. And less than three weeks ago at UFC 164 in Milwaukee, he beat Louis Gaudinot by unanimous decision.
Both hope for nothing less than a victory on the largest stage UFC possibly has to offer.
UFC 167 will be headlined by a welterweight title fight pitting reigning 170-pound champion Georges St. Pierre opposite division number one contender Johny Hendricks. In the co-main event, Rashad Evans will attempt to "let the dog out" against Chael Sonnen.
