It's (almost) time.
Whenever darkness falls, and the "Sin City" lights are shining bright, Floyd Mayweather Jr. will step inside the ring for the 45th time as a professional boxer to do battle against one of his most dangerous opponents to date, Saul "Canelo" Alvarez, himself a 43-fight veteran of the game.
The two will square off for Mayweather's WBA (Super) Light Middleweight championship, while Alvarez is putting his WBC and The Ring Light Middleweight titles on the line later on tonight (Sat., Sept. 14, 2013) at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Before the two make history, in an event that is already trending over 1.5 million buys on Showtime pay-per-view (PPV), a live one-hour "Countdown" special will stream free online at 8 p.m. ET. Lucky for you Maniacs, we've got you covered.
Just don't expect to hear from Oscar De La Hoya, seeing as he recently entered into a rehabilitation facility.
That doesn't mean there's not plenty to look forward to that will sufficiently get you hyped for the big fight tonight ... as if you weren't already. Check out the "Mayweather vs. Canelo" live "Countdown" stream below:
Remember, MMAmania.com will provide complete coverage of the entire "The One: Mayweather vs. Canelo" Showtime pay-per-view (PPV), starting at 9 p.m. ET later on tonight (Sept. 14) from Las Vegas, Nevada, RIGHT HERE.
See you then!
