People will go to great lengths to meet their favorite athletes. While for the most part fans will respect certain boundaries, there are times when personal space is invaded.
At a recent press scrum to promote his UFC 167 bout against Johny Hendricks, Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Welterweight Champion Georges St. Pierre recounted a time several years ago at the airport in Toronto, Canada when a fan followed him into the bathroom while he tried to do his business.
The fan yelled, "GSP! GSP! Are you there?" while St. Pierre sat in one of the stalls.
The champ didn't want to embarrass the fan or himself, so instead of responding immediately, he waited to make sure that everyone left the bathroom before leaving the stall to wash his hands.
After leaving the bathroom, the fan introduced himself to St. Pierre. It was all a misunderstanding as all they wanted was a photo for their child.
Sometimes these things happen in MMA?
