Ring around the "Rumble", pocket full of "Pit Bulls."

Even World Series of Fighting isn't immune to big injuries.

The planned upcoming (Sept. 14, 2013) WSOF 5 headlining bout between light heavyweights Anthony Johnson and Mike Kyle is off after "Rumble" suffered an injury in training according to a recent report from MMA Fighting.

Stepping in for the injured Johnson will be his most recent opponent Andrei Arlovski, the former UFC Heavyweight Champion. The bout will now be contested at heavyweight instead.

Arlovski (19-10 1 NC) suffered a badly broken jaw against Johnson in their WSOF 2 main event earlier this year, losing a unanimous decision, but vowed to come back strong. Prior to the the Johnson defeat, "The Pitbull" had been undefeated in his last five fights.

Kyle (20-9-1 2 NC) contemplated retirement after he was easily submitted by Gegard Mousasi in the final Strikeforce event. He instead returned to competition this past May and made quick work of Travis Wiuff, scoring a first round knockout in just 21 seconds.

WSOF 5 will also feature the semifinals of the inaugural middleweight title tournament with Elvis Mutapcic, Jesse Taylor, Danillo Villefort and Dave Branch, which plans on eventually crowing the promotion's first 185 pound champion.
