The production is expected to go straight to DVD/Blu-ray in 2014 and according to IMDB, will be shot in Romania within the next month.
"Bigfoot" joins a list of fighters who have participated in the franchise. Former multi-time UFC Heavyweight and Light Heavyweight champion Randy Couture played a major role The Scorpion King 2 while internet sensation Kimbo Slice participated in The Scorpion King 3: Battle for Redemption.
Just how big Silva's role will be has not yet been identified.
The Lost Throne is the fourth installment in The Scorpion King series, which initially starred Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson over 10 years ago.
Silva currently holds a 2-2 UFC record, knocking out top 10 fighters Travis Browne and Alistair Overeem while dropping both bouts against current champion Cain Velasquez. His next fight has not been announced.
The Brazilian is the third current top UFC fighter to accept a movie role this year. UFC Welterweight Champion George St. Pierre finished filming a role in the upcoming Captain America movie while UFC women's bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey is slated to co-star in the upcoming Expendables 3 action film.
