We're still one month away from UFC Fight Night 28: "Teixeira vs. Bader," which takes place Toyota Center in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, on Sept. 4, 2013, but that won't stop the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) marketing machine from oiling up its mixed martial arts (MMA) rig.
That's because the main event, Glover Teixeira vs. Ryan Bader, is an important Light Heavyweight bout with serious title implications, particularly after Lyoto Machida's controversial loss this past weekend.
Teixeira, who Machida believes is the guy to beat current UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones, is almost certainly next in line for a shot at the belt if he defeats Bader.
The talented 33-year old Brazilian has won 19 straight fights, including a current 4-0 stint in the UFC light heavyweight division where he managed to score impressive victories over the likes of Quinton "Rampage" Jackson and James Te Huna in his most recent bouts.
Bader has been a fringe top 10 player in the division for a couple years now and is most recently coming off a 50 second "Submission of the Night"-winning victory over veteran Vladimir Matyushenko this past January.
