Loser leaves town?
There's an interesting women's bantamweight battle brewing for the upcoming UFC Fight Night 30 event, which is set to go down inside the Phones 4U Arena in Manchester, England, on Oct. 26, 2013, on FOX Sports 2.
Sexton (13-3) came up short in her Octagon debut, falling to Alexis Davis by way of unanimous decision at the UFC 161 pay-per-view (PPV) event back in June. "The Surgeon" will have the hometown crowd on her side in Manchester, but age 36, she needs to make something happen sooner rather than later.
She's not the only one.
Andrade (9-3) also stumbled out of the gate, paired off against former division title contender Liz Carmouche last month in Seattle. "Bate Estaca" was pounded out in the second stanza and likely needs to avoid a similar finish if she hopes to continue her career inside the Octagon.
An 0-2 start in UFC is never a good place to be.
UFC Fight Night 30, which will air on FOX Sports 2 network on the day of the international mixed marital arts (MMA) event, will feature a middleweight main event between Michael Bisping vs. Mark Munoz, going toe-to-toe with a potential 185-pound title shot on the line for the winner.
That's not all.
Melvin Guillard and Ross Pearson will hook 'em up in the co-featured fight of the night to inch closer to lightweight legitimacy, while Jimi Manuwa will look to keep his perfect professional record (13-0) intact against the hard-hitting Ryan Jimmo.
