MMAmania FFB News - B Leagues NEEDS more owners!!!!! and A League draft results

The B League is down to only 9 players right now. We would like to get 3 more to bring it back up to 12 teams. Worst case, we still need one more to form a 10 team league. Anything less that would be pointless. So if you are interested, let us know in the comments below and send OJR an email. His email is in his profile. He will send you the league invite and will collect the league dues which will be discussed via email. The draft is on Thursday night and the dues are $30.

Now that I got the B League out of the way, its time for the A League. We held the 4th annual MMAmania FFB League draft on Monday night. Its a pretty standard PPR league where QB's get 6 pts for passing TD's. We just turned the league into a keeper this league this season. We each kept on player from last season. Our draft order was than determined by the fantasy points the keeper scored last year. Lowest points draft first.

KEEPERS

1. Deuce (Larry Fitzgerald, 174.8)
2. Griffinfan05 (Rob Gronkowski, 198)
3. Joben (Reggie Bush, 206.8)
4. donkeypunch (Matt Forte, 221.4)
5. Buster Bluth (Jamaal Charles, 245.5)
6. John G (Alfred Morris, 255.0)
7. ViolentMike (CJ Spiller, 255.3)
8. BJPennfan (Marshawn Lynch, 269.6)
9. TripFilch (Demaryius Thomas, 291.4)
10. Puck Head (Doug Martin, 314.6)
11. Kevin (Adrian Peterson, 353.4)
12. Shiv (Drew Brees, 384.07)

ROUND 1

1. Arian Foster (Hou - RB) Deuce02
2. Ray Rice (Bal - RB) GriffinFan05
3. Trent Richardson (Cle - RB) Joben
4. LeSean McCoy (Phi - RB) donkeypunch
5. Calvin Johnson (Det - WR) Buster Bluth
6. Stevan Ridley (NE - RB) John G
7. Dez Bryant (Dal - WR) ViolentMike
8. Aaron Rodgers (GB - QB) BJPennfan
9. Steven Jackson (Atl - RB) TripPilch
10. Chris Johnson (Ten - RB) Puck Head
11. Julio Jones (Atl - WR) Mania's Pete...
12. Jimmy Graham (NO - TE) Shiv

I thought the top three players went 4, 5, 3. I was shocked to see McCoy fall to 4 and Megatron to 5. I would say that the worst pick of the first round was Chris Johnson by Puck Head.

Round 2
1. Maurice Jones-Drew (Jac - RB) Shiv
2. A.J. Green (Cin - WR) Mania's Pete...
3. Brandon Marshall (Chi - WR) Puck Head
4. Randall Cobb (GB - WR) TripPilch
5. Victor Cruz (NYG - WR) BJPennfan
6. Darren Sproles (NO - RB) ViolentMike
7. Frank Gore (SF - RB) John G
8. Andre Johnson (Hou - WR) Buster Bluth
9. Roddy White (Atl - WR) donkeypunch
10. Vincent Jackson (TB - WR) Joben
11. Danny Amendola (NE - WR) GriffinFan05
12. Cam Newton (Car - QB) Deuce02

AJ Green and Brandon Marshall were both first round talents in this draft (after 12 keepers). After 3 rounds, Kevin's team was looking very strong with Adrian Peterson, Julio Jones and AJ Green. I am never of fan of Frank Gore. I'll take Darren Sproles in round 3 of a PPR draft all day. Be interesting to see if Amendola can stay healthy this year. If he does, he can have a big year with Brady.

Round 3
1. DeMarco Murray (Dal - RB) Deuce02
2. Robert Griffin III (Was - QB) GriffinFan05
3. Peyton Manning (Den - QB) Joben
4. Colin Kaepernick (SF - QB) donkeypunch
5. Tom Brady (NE - QB) Buster Bluth
6. Dwayne Bowe (KC - WR) John G
7. David Wilson (NYG - RB) ViolentMike
8. Marques Colston (NO - WR) BJPennfan
9. Reggie Wayne (Ind - WR) TripPilch
10. Vernon Davis (SF - TE) Puck Head
11. Le'Veon Bell (Pit - RB) Mania's Pete...
12. Lamar Miller (Mia - RB) Shiv

4 QB's went in a row this round. The RG3 pick was probably a round or two too early. Vernon Davis is finally primed for a big year this season with Kappernick, but round 3, which is actually 4, is the earliest I've ever seen him drafted. Worst pick by far is Kevin who took the injured Le"veon Bell. Lamar Miller provides Shiv some upside.

Round 4
1. Eric Decker (Den - WR) Shiv
2. Matt Ryan (Atl - QB) Mania's Pete...
3. Torrey Smith (Bal - WR) Puck Head
4. Eddie Lacy (GB - RB) TripPilch
5. Ahmad Bradshaw (Ind - RB) BJPennfan
6. Wes Welker (Den - WR) ViolentMike
7. Pierre Garcon (Was - WR) John G
8. Hakeem Nicks (NYG - WR) Buster Bluth
9. Tony Gonzalez (Atl - TE) donkeypunch
10. Steve Smith (Car - WR) Joben
11. Jordy Nelson (GB - WR) GriffinFan05
12. Antonio Brown (Pit - WR) Deuce02

I like the Eddie Lacy pick by Trip. I was happy to grab Wes Welker this late. As was John G with Pierre Garcon. When Nicks is healthy, he is a beast. Too bad he can't stay healthy...

Round 5
1. Jason Witten (Dal - TE) Deuce02
2. Chris Ivory (NYJ - RB) GriffinFan05
3. James Jones (GB - WR) Joben
4. Mike Wallace (Mia - WR) donkeypunch
5. Darren McFadden (Oak - RB) Buster Bluth
6. T.Y. Hilton (Ind - WR) John G
7. Matthew Stafford (Det - QB) ViolentMike
8. Jermichael Finley (GB - TE) BJPennfan
9. Russell Wilson (Sea - QB) TripPilch
10. DeSean Jackson (Phi - WR) Puck Head
11. Anquan Boldin (SF - WR) Mania's Pete...
12. Miles Austin (Dal - WR) Shiv

Alright, that is the first 5 rounds of the draft which provided 6 rounds of players due to the keepers.

Now I will fast forward and show our final teams.

Deuce02
1. (1) Arian Foster (Hou - RB)
2. (24) Cam Newton (Car - QB)
3. (25) DeMarco Murray (Dal - RB)
4. (48) Antonio Brown (Pit - WR)
5. (49) Jason Witten (Dal - TE)
6. (72) Tony Romo (Dal - QB)
7. (73) Lance Moore (NO - WR)
8. (96) Mark Ingram (NO - RB)
9. (97) San Francisco (SF - DEF)
10. (120) Sidney Rice (Sea - WR)
11. (121) Denarius Moore (Oak - WR)
12. (144) Bilal Powell (NYJ - RB)
13. (145) New England (NE - DEF)
14. (168) Rob Housler (Ari - TE)
15. (169) David Akers (Det - K)
16. (192) Larry Fitzgerald  (Ari - WR)

Traditionally one of, actually, traditionally THE weakest team in the league. I don't see that changing this year.

GriffinFan05
1. (2) Ray Rice (Bal - RB)
2. (23) Danny Amendola (NE - WR)
3. (26) Robert Griffin III (Was - QB)
4. (47) Jordy Nelson (GB - WR)
5. (50) Chris Ivory (NYJ - RB)
6. (71) Golden Tate (Sea - WR)
7. (74) Rashard Mendenhall (Ari - RB)
8. (95) Brian Hartline (Mia - WR)
9. (98) Brandon Myers (NYG - TE)
10. (119) Blair Walsh (Min - K)
11. (122) Pierre Thomas (NO - RB)
12. (143) Denver (Den - DEF)
13. (146) Jonathan Stewart (Car - RB)
14. (167) Greg Little (Cle - WR)
15. (170) Austin Collie (SF - WR)
16. (191) Rob Gronkowski

It'll be interesting to see how this roster plays out. As it stands now, I would project Griffinfan to miss the playoffs.

Joben
1. (3) Trent Richardson (Cle - RB)
2. (22) Vincent Jackson (TB - WR)
3. (27) Peyton Manning (Den - QB)
4. (46) Steve Smith (Car - WR)
5. (51) James Jones (GB - WR)
6. (70) Jared Cook (StL - TE)
7. (75) Greg Jennings (Min - WR)
8. (94) Antonio Gates (SD - TE)
9. (99) Joique Bell (Det - RB)
10. (118) Chicago (Chi - DEF)
11. (123) Zach Sudfeld (NE - TE)
12. (142) Ben Roethlisberger (Pit - QB)
13. (147) Cordarrelle Patterson (Min - WR)
14. (166) Matt Prater (Den - K)
15. (171) Daniel Thomas (Mia - RB)
16. (190) Reggie Bush  (Det - RB)

Richardson and Bush provide Joben a respectable backfield. His team actually looks better than his team last year. But keep in mind, that really isn't saying much.

donkeypunch
1. (4) LeSean McCoy (Phi - RB)
2. (21) Roddy White (Atl - WR)
3. (28) Colin Kaepernick (SF - QB)
4. (45) Tony Gonzalez (Atl - TE)
5. (52) Mike Wallace (Mia - WR)
6. (69) Stevie Johnson (Buf - WR)
7. (76) Owen Daniels (Hou - TE)
8. (93) Vincent Brown (SD - WR)
9. (100) Michael Bush (Chi - RB)
10. (117) Jonathan Dwyer (Pit - RB)
11. (124) Houston (Hou - DEF)
12. (141) Andy Dalton (Cin - QB)
13. (148) Jacoby Jones (Bal - WR)
14. (165) Josh Brown (NYG - K)
15. (172) Mohamed Sanu (Cin - WR)
16. (189) Matt Forte  (Chi - RB)

As mentioned earlier, I was surprised to see Shady last till pick 4. Donkey likes taking QB's early, and that he did. I think that donkey will compete for a playoff spot, but might fall short. It all rests on Kaepernick. I think he makes it.

Buster Bluth
1. (5) Calvin Johnson (Det - WR)
2. (20) Andre Johnson (Hou - WR)
3. (29) Tom Brady (NE - QB)
4. (44) Hakeem Nicks (NYG - WR)
5. (53) Darren McFadden (Oak - RB)
6. (68) Shane Vereen (NE - RB)
7. (77) Ryan Mathews (SD - RB)
8. (92) Chris Givens (StL - WR)
9. (101) Eli Manning (NYG - QB)
10. (116) Emmanuel Sanders (Pit - WR)
11. (125) Brandon Pettigrew (Det - TE)
12. (140) Aaron Dobson (NE - WR)
13. (149) Arizona (Ari - DEF)
14. (164) Rod Streater (Oak - WR)
15. (173) Justin Tucker (Bal - K)
16. (188) Jamaal Charles  (KC - RB)

I thought that Buster had a stellar draft and came away as one of the teams to beat. If Nicks stays healthy and Vereen has a big year, this team will be tough to beat.

John G
1. (6) Stevan Ridley (NE - RB)
2. (19) Frank Gore (SF - RB)
3. (30) Dwayne Bowe (KC - WR)
4. (43) Pierre Garcon (Was - WR)
5. (54) T.Y. Hilton (Ind - WR)
6. (67) Mike Williams (TB - WR)
7. (78) Andrew Luck (Ind - QB)
8. (91) Bryce Brown (Phi - RB)
9. (102) Justin Blackmon (Jac - WR)
10. (115) Heath Miller (Pit - TE)
11. (126) Darrius Heyward-Bey (Ind - WR)
12. (139) St. Louis (StL - DEF)
13. (150) Marcel Reece (Oak - RB)
14. (163) Markus Wheaton (Pit - WR)
15. (174) Kai Forbath (Was - K)
16. (187) Alfred Morris  (Was - RB)

Yahoo thinks John had the worst draft. I would have to disagree. I don't love his draft, but I certainly don't think it was the worst.

ViolentMike
1. (7) Dez Bryant (Dal - WR)
2. (18) Darren Sproles (NO - RB)
3. (31) David Wilson (NYG - RB)
4. (42) Wes Welker (Den - WR)
5. (55) Matthew Stafford (Det - QB)
6. (66) Cecil Shorts (Jac - WR)
7. (79) Kyle Rudolph (Min - TE)
8. (90) Ben Tate (Hou - RB)
9. (103) Ryan Broyles (Det - WR)
10. (114) Rueben Randle (NYG - WR)
11. (127) Bernard Pierce (Bal - RB)
12. (138) Knowshon Moreno (Den - RB)
13. (151) Roy Helu (Was - RB)
14. (162) Greg Zuerlein (StL - K)
15. (175) Tampa Bay (TB - DEF)
16. (186) C.J. Spiller  (Buf - RB)

I drafted this team, so I should like it. And that I do. David Wilson will be making or breaking my fantasy season in all leagues this year.

BJPennfan
1. (8) Aaron Rodgers (GB - QB)
2. (17) Victor Cruz (NYG - WR)
3. (32) Marques Colston (NO - WR)
4. (41) Ahmad Bradshaw (Ind - RB)
5. (56) Jermichael Finley (GB - TE)
6. (65) Montee Ball (Den - RB)
7. (80) Josh Gordon (Cle - WR)
8. (89) Seattle (Sea - DEF)
9. (104) Ronnie Hillman (Den - RB)
10. (113) Vick Ballard (Ind - RB)
11. (128) Malcom Floyd (SD - WR)
12. (137) Shonn Greene (Ten - RB)
13. (152) Joe Flacco (Bal - QB)
14. (161) Matt Bryant (Atl - K)
15. (176) Jermaine Gresham (Cin - TE)
16. (185) Marshawn Lynch  (Sea - RB)

BJ will have to start someone for Gordon the first couple games. Finley in the 5th was a bit of a reach. He could have been had several rounds later.

TripPilch
1. (9) Steven Jackson (Atl - RB)
2. (16) Randall Cobb (GB - WR)
3. (33) Reggie Wayne (Ind - WR)
4. (40) Eddie Lacy (GB - RB)
5. (57) Russell Wilson (Sea - QB)
6. (64) Giovani Bernard (Cin - RB)
7. (81) DeAngelo Williams (Car - RB)
8. (88) Kenny Britt (Ten - WR)
9. (105) DeAndre Hopkins (Hou - WR)
10. (112) Michael Floyd (Ari - WR)
11. (129) LaMichael James (SF - RB)
12. (136) Isaac Redman (Pit - RB)
13. (153) Ed Dickson (Bal - TE)
14. (160) Pittsburgh (Pit - DEF)
15. (177) Steven Hauschka (Sea - K)
16. (184) Demaryius Thomas  (Den - WR)

Trip and I were targeting a few of the same players. It looks like he will be competitive in his first year in the league.

Puck Head
1. (10) Chris Johnson (Ten - RB)
2. (15) Brandon Marshall (Chi - WR)
3. (34) Vernon Davis (SF - TE)
4. (39) Torrey Smith (Bal - WR)
5. (58) DeSean Jackson (Phi - WR)
6. (63) Michael Vick (Phi - QB)
7. (82) Alshon Jeffery (Chi - WR)
8. (87) Andre Brown (NYG - RB)
9. (106) Jordan Cameron (Cle - TE)
10. (111) Jay Cutler (Chi - QB)
11. (130) Jacquizz Rodgers (Atl - RB)
12. (135) Andre Roberts (Ari - WR)
13. (154) Brandon LaFell (Car - WR)
14. (159) Phil Dawson (SF - K)
15. (178) Cleveland (Cle - DEF)
16. (183) Doug Martin  (TB - RB)

With a different pick in the first round, I would like this team a bit more.

Mania's Pete Rose
1. (11) Julio Jones (Atl - WR)
2. (14) A.J. Green (Cin - WR)
3. (35) Le'Veon Bell (Pit - RB)
4. (38) Matt Ryan (Atl - QB)
5. (59) Anquan Boldin (SF - WR)
6. (62) Greg Olsen (Car - TE)
7. (83) BenJarvus Green-Ellis (Cin - RB)
8. (86) Tavon Austin (StL - WR)
9. (107) Fred Davis (Was - TE)
10. (110) Fred Jackson (Buf - RB)
11. (131) Cincinnati (Cin - DEF)
12. (134) Carson Palmer (Ari - QB)
13. (155) Sebastian Janikowski (Oak - K)
14. (158) Santonio Holmes (NYJ - WR)
15. (179) Mikel Leshoure (Det - RB)
16. (182) Adrian Peterson  (Min - RB)

I love a few of Kev's picks (Julio, AJ) but I also hate the Bell pick. But Kev has a core grouop pf players tha can carry any fantasy team.

Shiv
1. (12) Jimmy Graham (NO - TE)
2. (13) Maurice Jones-Drew (Jac - RB)
3. (36) Lamar Miller (Mia - RB)
4. (37) Eric Decker (Den - WR)
5. (60) Miles Austin (Dal - WR)
6. (61) Daryl Richardson (StL - RB)
7. (84) Kenbrell Thompkins (NE - WR)
8. (85) Danny Woodhead (SD - RB)
9. (108) Kendall Wright (Ten - WR)
10. (109) Martellus Bennett (Chi - TE)
11. (132) Donnie Avery (KC - WR)
12. (133) Christine Michael (Sea - RB)
13. (156) Nate Burleson (Det - WR)
14. (157) Stephen Gostkowski (NE - K)
15. (180) Indianapolis (Ind - DEF)
16. (181) Drew Brees  (NO - QB)

Everyone was targeting Kenbrell Thompkins as a sleeper. Shiv jumped the gun and selected him in round 7, which was round 8. Shiv might have one of the weaker teams...
