UFC 164 free fight video: Brock Lesnar makes his Octagon debut against Frank Mir

"It really comes down to now, can Brock Lesnar fight?" --Lesnar, prior to his Octagon debut against Frank Murr.

Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Heavyweight Champion, Frank Mir, will step inside the cage this Saturday night (Aug. 31, 2013) to welcome longtime mixed martial arts (MMA) veteran Josh Barnett back into the Octagon.

"The Warmaster" makes his long-awaited return at UFC 164 from the Bradley Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

To help get fans geared up for this weekend's "Hometown Throwdown," the promotion has released one of Mir's greatest hits, a first-round submission win over WWE import Brock Lesnar, who was looking to parlay his success as a collegiate wrestling deity into a UFC dynasty.

Mir was ready to roll out the blood-red carpet at UFC 81 back in early 2008:

"I wanna rip the skin off his face. I want him to feel abused. I want his lungs to cave in. I want him to taste his own blood going down his throat. I want him to feel pain for stepping anywhere near me."

Murr would survive an early onslaught -- with an assist from referee Steve Mazzagatti -- to latch on to one of Lesnar's massive hamhocks, twisting and turning until "The Brockness Monster" was forced to surrender. Ole Sword 'n Chest would even the score at UFC 100, but Mir proved to win the battle of longevity.

Oh memory lane, you never disappoint.
