"I think Johny Hendricks has a puncher's chance. He's obviously a big puncher. He's got the power to make it a short night for GSP, but I feel like GSP is going to out-technique Johny Hendricks. I think his wrestling, and I'm not an expert on wrestling, but I think his wrestling is going to make the difference and Georges is going to be able to take him down and control the fight."
Sounds like Georges St. Pierre is going to win the battle of power vs. finesse when he defends his welterweight title against Johny Hendricks at the UFC 167 pay-per-view (PPV) event, scheduled for Nov. 16, 2013 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada (details). That's according to the scouting report from Carlos Condit (via Yahoo! Sports), who faced both "Rush" and "Bigg Rigg" in back-to-back fights. What about the challenger's NCAA Division-1 wrestling titles? Not a factor, according to "The Natural Born Killer," who thinks "Rush" will be the one to control the ground game. Then again, Condit admits he's no expert on wrestling. So does his pre-fight prediction now become null and void? We'll find out in less than three months.
