In the immortal words of Onyx: Bacdafucup!
New York Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez has been getting creamed in the headlines over the past few months, for his role in the Biogenesis scandal. Fingered as the ringleader of a performance-enhancing drug (PED) empire, "A-Rod" could be facing a lifetime ban from baseball.
But he still has the respect of Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) President Dana White (via FOX Sports):
"I'm a friend of A-Rod's. I was diagnosed a couple years ago with Meniere's disease, which is damage to the nerve, and A-Rod called me and said, 'I went to this place in Dusseldorf, Germany. Kobe Bryant sent me there.' You know, you look at the list of athletes and people, Pope John Paul went there. And you have to be referred to this place to get in. He referred me to get in and completely changed my life. So for all the negative things that are on A-Rod right now, the guy has done some good things too. I like him and have a lot of respect for him."
Respect the bro code!
White was dissected earlier this year for a pair of faulty ears (see the graphic footage here). Unfortunately for the foul-mouthed fight promoter, the procedure was unsuccessful and left him unable to function due to spontaneous episodes of vertigo and tinnitus.
A-Rod to the rescue!
White was referred to the Deutschland doctors on a tip from the embattled MLB star and thanks to a stem-cell procedure unavailable stateside, was able to finally win his battle against Menier's Disease (details). That makes Rodriguez a friend for life.
Loyalty, FTW!
