Calling all button mashers!

Electronic Arts (EA) is ready to give gamers an advanced look at its upcoming video game line up for 2014 and beyond with today's (Aug. 20, 2013) Gamescom press conference, LIVE right here on beginning at 10 a.m. ET from the Palladium in Cologne, Germany.

What does that have to do with mixed martial arts (MMA)?

Well, this is the time and place to catch a first-look preview of the gameplay footage from EA SPORTS UFC, the combat sports video game designed for next generation consoles, specifically, PlayStation 4 (PS 4) and the new Xbox ONE, both of which are expected to battle it out for your gaming dollars this holiday season.

That's not all.

The EA Gamescom 2013 press conference will also reveal the latest and greatest news and notes -- as well as exclusive video -- from its other leading properties, including Battlefield 4, Need For Speed Rivals, Plants vs. Zombies: "Garden Warfare," FIFA 14, Command & Conquer, The Sims 4 and more!

Get those thumbs ready.

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) parted ways with THQ and its "Undisputed" franchise back in 2012. While MMA gamers have been forced to endure a dry spell in terms of new material, this latest offering from EA Sports is expected to be a game changer, thanks to its "Ignite" engine, which will be on display today in Deutschland.

Alright fight fans, sit back, relax and enjoy the show. Aside from the new UFC entry, what new games are you looking forward to most?

Sound off!
