Leading up to UFC 163, which takes place tomorrow night (Sat., Aug 3, 2013) at HSBC Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Tom Watson was interviewed by FightHubTV to discuss his move to Southern California and his bout with Thales Leites.
"Kong" recently joined Mark Munoz's camp at the Reign Training Center and appears to have a renewed love for training.
e views Leites, a former UFC 185-pound contender, as that man:
"It's a great fight. Main card in Brazil. He's fought Anderson for the belt. It went the distance and nobody's finished him by TKO or knockout I think I need to go in there and in the three rounds knock him out and make the statement that Anderson didn't do that."
Watson possesses the stand up to back up his words.
Leites, meanwhile, is 6-3 in his nine UFC bouts, with all three losses coming via decision. In other words, Watson would be the first man in mixed martial arts (MMA) to stop Leites.
And in doing so, e would definitely put the Middleweight division on notice that there is a new powerful player.
