Video killed the mixed martial arts (MMA) star!
Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) heavyweight and light heavyweight champion, Vitor Belfort, is down (but not out). That's according to this new music video from "The Almost," which features "The Phenom" doing what he does best.
While I never heard of this particular band, featured on ESPN a few days back, they have a new album titled "Fear Inside Our Bones," recorded live across a five-day period at Omni Studios in Nashville. Lead vocalist, lyricist and guitarist, Aaron Gillespie, explains why.
"It wasn't a piecemeal process as the majority of modern records are. It's something none of us have ever done and with the time crunch, we were surprised how tight of a live band we've finally become. Thematically, we bounced the entire record off using anxiety as our backboard."
What does that have to do with Belfort, or MMA for that matter?
You'll just have to listen to the lyrics and decide for yourself. The Brazilian, meanwhile, is still waiting for his 185-pound title shot after securing back-to-back knockout wins over a pair of top contenders. Was he in line for a crack at the crown before Chris Weidman turned the division on is head?
