Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones is coming to a pay-per-view (PPV) near you one month prior to his showdown with Alexander Gustafsson at UFC 165, which goes down Sept. 21, 2013, at Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
"Bones" is booked to emcee the World Bar Arm Wrestling Championships, an arm wrestling tournament that will takeover Stoney's Rockin' Country in Las Vegas, Nevada, on Aug. 24, 2013, when more than 700 entrants from 39 countries in nine weight classes battle in a double-elimination event for cash and prizes.
Jones is not the only UFC representative -- ring announcer Bruce Buffer will voice the event, while Hall of Fame inductee, Ken Shamrock, will handle the PPV broadcast call.
That alone, Maniacs, might be worth the PPV price.
UFC fans (that's you!) and CrossFit Members (that's probably not you!) are welcome to compete and will receive a $10 discount off the $100 entry fee (that's $90). And if you manage to win the 221-pound (and over) division you earn the opportunity to challenge the winner of the "Super Match" between "Monster" Michael Todd vs. "The Beast" Travis Bagent.
