The Imperial MMA army has invaded the land of MMAmania.com and named it as the new resting place for "Darce Side Radio," a weekly mixed martial arts (MMA) podcast that touches on all things Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) and beyond.
Show host Michael Stets has officially set up shop and is kicking down the door with a loaded line up for the debut episode on MMAmania.com, which includes interviews with UFC 168's Miesha Tate and "UFC Tonight" FUEL TV host Kenny Florian, as well as Ray Sefo and Nick Newell from World Series of Fighting (WSOF).
The video player is embedded below for your listening pleasure (just click the play button). Here is quick preview of what you can expect to hear:
Tate: Ronda Rousey's arch rival spoke to Stets yesterday in New York City at the "UFC World Tour" press conference about filming The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 18, being more reserved and less emotional than her counterpart, the mistakes she made in her first fight with "Rowdy" and, of course, what they both mean to women's MMA.
Newell: The former XFC Lightweight champion stopped by to discuss the fallout with XFC president John Prisco, his upcoming fight at WSOF 4 against Keon Caldwell, some of the advantages and disadvantages of being a one-armed fighter and his journey to -- and passion for -- the sport.
Sefo: The WSOF president came on to discuss stepping down from his position to get back in the cage for what could be his last MMA hurrah against David Huckaba at WSOF 4, what it would mean to the promotion if he should lose, his opinion on Glory kickboxing and how he still has the desire to compete after 100 career fights.
Florian: The retired fighter and current FUEL TV analyst joins the show to break down the UFC 163 main and co-main events -- Jose Aldo vs. Chan Sung Jung and Lyoto Machida vs. Phil Davis -- discuss his experience of fighting "Scarface" at UFC 136 and gives his opinion of the strength of the current UFC Featherweight division.
