While everyone is focused on Anderson Silva's stunning loss to Chris Weidman in the UFC 162 main event, many seem to forget another piece of Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) history took place on Saturday (July 6, 2013).
Just hours before the "Siva vs. Weidman" fight card took place inside the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, two iconic names in the sport and former opponents of Silva were inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame.
UFC President Dana White was on hand to present the two finalists from The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) season one with their plaques and a place in history alongside the likes of Chuck Liddell, Randy Couture, Royce Gracie and Tito Ortiz.
Both fighters gave brief speeches regarding their entrance to the Hall of Fame, and MMA Heat was on the scene to catch all the festivities on video for those who were unable to make it to Las Vegas for the expo.
