"I'm a firm believer every fight is won or lost before Saturday night. Having said that, the fight should be in the bag already. I've already beaten Andrew Craig in the work I've done to prepare. I'm waiting for the fight, to get the money in the bank, and then getting back to train."
There is nothing wrong with having confidence before a big competition, but is Chris Leben too overconfident heading into his UFC 162 middleweight fight against Andrew Craig this weekend (July 6, 2013) in Las Vegas, Nevada? To some, it may sound like that's the case, to others, however, it could simply be that "The Crippler" is super satisfied with the training camp he just completed thanks to his team at Alliance MMA. Leben revealed on "The MMA Hour" that because of his new crew, he feels he's already defeated "Highlight" with all of the hard work that has already been put in. After relocating from Hawaii to California, Leben says the fresh start may be his ticket to breaking his current two-fight skid and get him back into the win column for the first time in two years. But is "The Crippler" making a mistake by counting his eggs -- or in this case his win bonus -- long before the check is even written?
