UFC 167 poster first-look for 'St. Pierre vs. Hendricks' on Nov. 16 in Las Vegas

UFC

A little on the skimpy side when compared to yesterday's new poster for UFC 167 (see it here).

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Welterweight Champion Georges St. Pierre will defend his division title against 170-pound number one contender Johny Hendricks at the UFC 167: "St. Pierre vs. Hendricks" pay-per-view (PPV) event, scheduled for November 16, 2013 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

See their first official staredown here.

Hendricks has been clamoring for a 170-pound title fight for over a year, passed over in favor of Nick Diaz, as well as a potential "super fight." Fortunately for the 15-1 "Bigg Rigg," Diaz was unable to seal the deal at UFC 158 back in March, while Anderson Silva was dethroned by Chris Weidman.

Here's a sneak peek at their upcoming poster:

UFC 167

As expected, St. Pierre opened as a -225 favorite over the bearded brawler (+175), though it should be noted that the champ's betting line hasn't been this close since he opened at -180 against nemesis B.J. Penn at UFC 94 way back in late 2008.

Perhaps the bookies have been scared straight by this man?

No other bouts have been announced for UFC 167 at this time, but you can bet your bottom dollar we'll be bringing you that news just as soon as it breaks. In the meantime, get all the "St. Pierre vs. Hendricks" news that's fit to print right here.
