UFC 162, which takes place this weekend (Sat., July 6, 2013) at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, will end a major mixed martial arts (MMA) drought for the world's leading promotion in extravagant style.
In addition to a high-profile main event Middleweight championship match between Anderson Silva vs. Chris Weidman, as well as the rest of the pay-per-view (PPV) main card and "Prelims" bouts on FX and Facebook.com, UFC 162 will be a fan-friendly week that is chock full of activities, capped off by two-day "EXPO" at Mandalay Bay Convention Center.
To help promote the blockbuster show -- as if it needed any more exposure -- the promotion teamed up with its broadcast partner, FUEL TV, for UFC 162 "Countdown," an hour-long preview special that provided a behind-the-scenes look as "Spider" and "All American" prepare for their anticipated five-round, 185-pound championship battle.

In addition to "Silva vs. Weidman," the "Countdown" to UFC 162 special also featured the struggling former Lightweight champion, Frankie Edgar, who is looking to breakthrough the Featherweight division at the expense of 145-pound standout Charles Oliveira.
If for whatever reason you don't feel like watching the video up above online right now, or simply would prefer to record it on a DVR at a later date, "Countdown" to UFC 162 will air on the following dates (all times ET):
- Weds., July 3, at 3 a.m. and 1 p.m.
- Thurs., July 4, at 1 a.m., 7 a.m. and 9 p.m.
- Fri., July 5, at 2 a.m. and 6 p.m.
- Sat., July 6, at 12 a.m., 4 p.m. and 7 p.m.
Remember: MMAmania.com will provide LIVE round-by-round, blow-by-blow coverage of the entire UFC 162 fight card on fight night (July 6, 2013), starting with the Facebook "Prelims," which are scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. ET, right on through the FX-televised under card bouts at 8 p.m. ET and then main card PPV action, which is slated to begin at 10 p.m. ET.
See you then!
