The countdown has begun...
Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) will make its first venture into the state of Wisconsin, and to a new city at that, as lightweight champion Benson Henderson returns to the Octagon to put his title on the line for the third time against longtime foe, Anthony Pettis.
When and where?
In the UFC 164: "Henderson vs. Pettis 2" main event, which tops off a stacked pay-per-view (PPV) fight card from the Bradley Center in Milwaukee, Wis., on Aug. 31, 2013.
That's just over one month away!
The main event will be a rematch of a 2010 World Extreme Cagefighting (WEC) championship fight which Pettis won by unanimous decision after landing a spectacular "Showtime" kick in the fifth round that helped him seal the fight on the judge's scorecards.
In the co-main event, two former UFC heavyweight champions will go to battle when Frank Mir welcomes Josh Barnett back to the world's premier mixed martial arts (MMA) organization after an over decade-long hiatus.
