Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Heavyweight Champion Cain Velasquez will put his 265-pound strap on the line against ex-division kingpin Junior dos Santos in the main event of UFC 166: "Velasquez vs. Dos Santos 3," which takes place on Oct. 19, 2013 from the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas.
Velasquez (12-1) has just one defeat throughout his professional mixed martial arts (MMA) career, a first round knockout loss to Dos Santos during the promotion's inaugural FOX show in late 2011. He quickly rebounded by smashing Antonio Silva at UFC 146 just a few months later, then went on to avenge his loss to the Brazilian via lopsided unanimous decision last December.
Not bad for a guy who "hits like a girl."
Dos Santos (16-2) became the reigning punchface champion after five rounds of punishment at UFC 155 (pic), falling to Velasquez in what was his first defeat inside the Octagon and just the second of his career. "Cigano" didn't look any worse for the wear in his next fight, however, and airmailed Mark Hunt back to New Zealand with a highlight-reel head kick at UFC 160.
No one left to fight except each other.
No other fights have been announced for the upcoming UFC 166 pay-per-view (PPV), though "Prelim" bouts are expected to air on FOX Sports 1, as well as Facebook.
