Crisis averted.
Just last month, Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) light heavyweight contender Chael Sonnen promised to "slap" Miami Heat star LeBron James, a "dork" who has no love for handicapped children.
Time, apparently, heals all wounds.
"The American Gangster" was a recent guest on the Toucher & Rich show (via 98.5 The Sports Hub) and brought word that his beef with the NBA World Champion and 2013 ESPY hat trick winner has been officially squashed.
"LeBron is off the hook. LeBron has made it right. He's off the hook. That's between LeBron and I, but he did the right thing and I forgive him. I was gonna beat him up and tweet out the photos of it. It wouldn't have been brutal, he would have gotten out of the hospital. I wouldn't have punched him, he's a big nerd, I would have just taken him down and embarrassed him a little bit. I wouldn't have hurt him. We're good."
Rest easy, "King" James.
With the catty cager out of the way, Sonnen can concentrate on his Mauricio Rua fight in the headliner of the upcoming UFC Fight Night 26 on FOX Sports 1: "Shogun vs. Sonnen" event (details here), which takes places at the TD Garden in Boston, Mass., on Aug. 17, 2013.
And if he beats him up, expect us to tweet out the photos of it.
