No surprises here.
Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Women's Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey will have to play second fiddle later this year, as her rematch against Miesha Tate has been bumped from the headlining spot of UFC 168, which now plays host to the Anderson Silva vs. Chris Weidman mega-rematch on Dec. 28, 2013 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The good news is, fans will get one of the most stacked mixed martial arts (MMA) cards of the entire year, as two major championship title fights -- and much ballyhooed rematches -- take place in one night. And in fairness to "Rowdy," there may not be a fighter in the game today who doesn't step aside to make room for "The Spider."
But before they can step inside the Octagon for the promotion's annual year-end show, Rousey and Tate will have to finish up their coaching duties on The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 18, which is expected to air on Wednesday nights beginning September 4, 2013 on FOX Sports 1.

There's been a lot of hype heading into their rematch. After the recently-unwrapped "Cupcake" coughed up her title to Rousey under the Strikeforce banner, Cat Zingano sent her to the back of the line earlier this year, only to lose that spot when her knee gave way and sent her under the knife.
And with the way injuries have been ravaging recent fight cards, let's hope these lovely ladies can keep themselves in one piece over the next five months.
