T.J. Dillashaw vs. Raphael Assuncao booked for UFC on FOX Sports 1 #3 in Brazil

USA TODAY Sports

Which one of these streaking bantamweights will get close to a division title shot?

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has added an interesting bantamweight brawl for its upcoming UFC on FOX Sports 1 #3 fight card, scheduled for Weds., Sept. 4, 2013, from Mineirinho Arena in Belo Horizonte, Brazil.

The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 14 runner-up T.J. Dillashaw will continue his climb to the top of the 135-pound division when he trades leather with well-traveled veteran Raphael Assuncao, according to a report from Globo SporTV.

Both are riding four-fight winning streaks.

Dillashaw (8-1) is fresh off a technical knockout win over Hugo Viana at the UFC on FOX 7 event back in April, his third finish in as many tries. Assuncao (20-4), by comparison, is coming off a stoppage of his own, tapping Vaughan Lee at UFC on FUEL TV 10 event just last month.

Fight of the night?

UFC on FOX Sport 1 #3 will be headlined by a 205-pound contender's bout pitting rising star Glover Teixeira opposite division stalwart Ryan Bader. In addition, the special Wednesday night fight card will serve as the lead-in to TUF 18, featuring bantamweight coaches Ronda Rousey vs. Miesha Tate.
