"It's gonna get interesting, real quick!"
Uh, actually ... it's not.
That was the opening line from Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) light heavyweight contender Phil Davis, who was mic'd up for the 205-pound showdown between Dan Henderson and Lyoto Machida, which took place in the co-main event of UFC 157 back in February.
"Mr. Wonderful" was a candidate to face the winner, which after three boring rounds, turned out to be "The Dragon."
And because the former Nittany Lion disposed of Vinny Magalhaes at UFC 159 two months after the Brazilian's victory, they are now in line to hook 'em up at the upcoming UFC 163: "Aldo vs. Korean Zombie" pay-per-view (PPV) event, scheduled for Aug. 3, 2013, at the HSBC Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
So, what did Davis take away from his impromptu scouting report on Machida?
"That man has better hips than Patrick Swayze in Dirty Dancing."
