"He's a tough kid. If you shoot on him, you better watch out, his submissions are legit. I got even more confidence watching Jones fight Chael, when he started getting hit a little bit and he decided to shoot. If he does that to Glover, he's going to be in a lot of trouble. I would be shocked if he was able to stay on top of Glover."
Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Light Heavyweight Champion Chuck Liddell has all the confidence in the world in his protégé, Glover Teixeira, in a fight against current 205-pound kingpin Jon Jones. In fact, "The Iceman" declared during a recent UFC 162 fan Q&A (via Bleacher Report) that should "Bones" decide to shoot in for a takedown against the jiu-jitsu black belt, he'll be in a heap of trouble, because the Brazilian's ground game isn't one to be tested. With six submission victories on his résumé, Glover has proven to be a force to be reckoned with long before making his Octagon debut in 2012. In addition, his reputation as an elite fighter was indeed certified thanks to his four consecutive (and impressive) wins inside the eight-walled cage. But does he have the skills to pose problems for Jones, like Chuck claims?
