Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has arrived at its late summer pay-per-view (PPV) fight card, UFC 163, which is scheduled to blow the roof off HSBC Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, TONIGHT (Aug. 3, 2013)!
"Aldo vs. Korean Zombie" will feature a Featherweight championship contest in the main event when reigning champion Jose Aldo -- originally scheduled to defend against Lightweight import Anthony Pettis -- puts his title on the line against late replacement and "Korean Zombie," Chan Sung Jung.
In addition, former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Lyoto Machida continues his march toward the 205-pound title against wrestling phenom Phil Davis.

UFC Featherweight Champion Jose Aldo vs. Chan Sung Jung
Round one: Leg kick from Jung early and he steps forward with punches but Aldo avoids them. Very nice right hand from Aldo lands on Jung's chin but he takes it well. Left jab from Aldo and Jung fires off a leg kick. Jung whiffs with a head kick and Aldo is just hanging out in the pocket waiting for an opening. Aldo lands a leg kick and then catches Jung with a leg kick at the end of a combination. Nice outside leg kick from Jung and Aldo steps forward with a right hand. Aldo surprisingly shoots in for a takedown and gets it but Jung backs him off quickly with a scramble. Nasty spinning kick and a flying knee from Aldo at the end of the round. 10-9 Aldo
Round two: Jung steps forward aggressively throwing some hooks and a front kick. Jung eats a counter as he charges in but he's okay. Uppercut from Aldo and Jung backs him off with a straight left. Solid jab from Aldo and he lands a couple short left hooks. Aldo is using nice head movement now and he scores with a big left hook to the body and a stiff job. Aldo is looking very strong now. Jung fires off a right hand that grazes but doesn't land clean. Aldo lands an overhand right and this fight isn't at the pace Jung normally goes. Stiff left hand from Aldo stops Jung in his tracks. Nice right hand connects for Jung and Aldo shoots in for a takedown, ragdolling Jung to the canvas and landing on top in half guard, passing to side control. Jung retains his guard and throws his legs up but Aldo isn't in danger of anything. Aldo drops a few short left hands as time expires. 10-9 Aldo
Round three: Jung stands in front of Aldo and Aldo shoots in, taking him down again along the fence. Jung pops back to his feet and they clinch. Aldo is again looking for another takedown. This is surprising. Aldo drags Jung down again but he's working his way back to his feet along the fence as the commands them to work. The ref separates them and Jung steps forward with a left and a right hand, catching Aldo pretty well with the left. Again Aldo presses him into the fence. This is so perplexing. Aldo grabs a single leg and Jung drops some elbows while fending off the takedown. The ref breaks them apart again and Aldo looks sluggish. Jung attacks with some punches and a flying knee, and Aldo actually falls down avoiding it. 10-9 Aldo
Round four: Jung now has the cage center and he throws a left hand. Aldo fires off a couple jabs and it seems like Jung has an opening here to open up and take advantage of Aldo's sluggishness. Aldo steps forward with a kick, then another. Jung appears to have hurt his shoulder. Aldo takes advantage and takes Jung down, blasting him with ground and pound and the ref puts a stop to it. Shame Jung went down like that.
Final result: Jose Aldo defeats Chan Sung Jung via TKO (punches) at 2:00 of round four

205 lbs.: Phil Davis vs. Lyoto Machida
Round one: Good body kick from Davis and he snaps another off but Machida avoids it. They trade kicks and Machida gets the better of the exchange. Another quick leg kick from Machida we're at a methodical pace right now. Machida grazes Davis with a left head kick and he's feinting with his hips looking for an opening. Good right hand from Davis and Machida responds with a body kick. Straight left for Machida and Davis lands an inside leg kick. Machida counters Davis' punches with some kicks up the middle. Davis has not even attempted a takedown yet. Machida blitz forward with a combination and a kick that knocks Davis off balance and Davis shoots in for a leg but Machida backs off. Davis steps inside and actually secures a takedown on Machida, landing in half guard. Davis is looking at Machida's left arm and he drops a few good elbows from top position. 10-9 Machida
Round two: Davis lands a kick but Machida fires back with pair of his own kicks. Head kick from Machida just barely gets blocked. Head kick by Davis is blocked and he steps forward with a semi-superman punch but Machida gets out of the way. Machida steps forward and Davis looks for a clinch but Machida exits by circling away. Big right hand from Davis hits nothing but air. Davis lands a right hand and neither fighter has taken control of this round yet. Davis lands a right hand thinking about a takedown but he can't get low enough. Another takedown from Davis is stuffed. Solid straight left hand from Machida and Davis responds with a kick but Machida blocks it with his forearm. Very nice right hand from Machida but Davis gets inside and takes him down. Davis throws knees to the body and drops right hands until the end of the round. 10-9 Machida
Round three: Davis is aggressive early with punches and kicks as Machida stays on the outside trying to avoid everything. Davis attempts a takedown but Machida eludes his grasp. Machida scores with a knee and Davis drops down as Machida grabs a reverse body lock, throwing a couple knees from behind. Davis tries to catch a kick and take him down. Nice left hand scores fo rMachida and Davis is a bit more desperate. Davis works for a takedown but eats another knee and Machida shrugs him off. Machida catches Davis with a straight right on the way in and Davis steps inside with another right hand of his own. Davis is trying so hard to take Machida down with a minute left but Machida avoids it again. Davis lands a knee to the body as time expires. 10-9 Machida

Round one: Ferreira has control of the cage center and he wings a vicious left hook that staggers Santos. Ferreira throws a head kick and immediately latches on a guillotine choke, rolling for a submission and he forces Santos to tap! Very nice.
Final result: Cezar Ferreira defeats Thiago Santos via submission (guillotine) at 0:47 of round one

185 lbs.: Thales Leites vs. Tom Watson
Round one: Watson wings a head kick but Leites steps inside with a combination. Leites clinches and works for a trip, failing the first time but he drags Watson on top of him in his second effort. Leites has Watson's back with both hooks already and he's now got four minutes left to work. Leites is trying to get a rear naked choke and he traps an arm. Leites lands some nice short punches and hammer fists on the ground to try and soften Watson up. Watson tries to turtles and escape, but Leites is staying right on him, working to flatten him out and get soem work in. Watson finally escapes and he pushes Leites into the fence, landing a knee and a short elbow. They trade kicks and Watson pops him with a few more low kicks. Nice left and right hand from Watson and he's working Leites' legs well. Leites goes over the top with a right and Watson again lands a head kick. Nice right hand from Watson as time expires. 10-9 Leites
Round two: Leites comes out swinging an dhe backs Watson into the fence with some nice hooks. Watson fires back with a short combination and a leg kick but Leites is popping him with some good straight lefts. Leites steps inside and drags Watson to the canvas again, quickly passing to side control and then full mount. Watson is in trouble again and he doesn't have the cage to help him get back up. Watson gets back to his feet but Leites drags him back down again along the fence and he's got his back once more. Watson pops up and tries to shake Leites off him and he's on top now, but Leites is looking for an armbar. Leites is extending Watson's arm but Watson is hanging tough and he escapes! Watson backs off and they reset on the feet. Leites pops Watson with a left hand and Watson responds with a big inside leg kick. Watson's hands are pretty low and he eats a left hand again. Good combination from Watson and he caps off a combination with a knee. Watson takes inside position along the fence and he lands a right hand. Body shot from Watson and he scores another right. Uppercut from Watson backs Leites off and Watson stuffs a takedown attempt. Big knee and elbow from Watson at the end of the round. 10-9 Leites
Round three: Leites steps forward with some big hooks and he pops Watson with a nasty left hook that opens up a big cut over his right eye. They clinch and Watson pushes him into the fence, but can't dish out any damage. Leites thinks about a trip but Watson fends him off for now. Watson trying to stay upright and he does. Knee from Watson and then an elbow. Good left hand and Watson's hands are very low. Leites changes levels and takes Watson down. That might be it for Watson's chances. Leites passes to mount again but Watson works back to his feet. Leites drags him down again and takes his back. Leites is working for an arm triangle, he's got the hold and nearly passes to side control but is content to hold it in mount. Leites passes to side control and is still working for the choke and Watson survives to the final horn. 10-9 Leites

Round one: Lineker stalks from the cage center early while Tome dances on the outside. Big right hand scores for Lineker and he's looking very confident. Kick lands to the groin for Tome but Lineker doesn't want a break. Lineker lands a pair of right hands on the inside and then clocks Tome with a beautiful right hand. Spinning back fist connects for Tome and Lineker is rocked! Tome scores with a left and right hand. Lineker is in trouble!Tome attempts a guillotine choke but backs off and pops him with a straight left. Lineker looks like he finally recovered. Tome catches a leg and takes Lineker down but he pops back up to his feet and actually briefly takes Tome down. Good short right uppercuts from Lineker and another low blow from Tome forces a break in the action. That's the worst thing that could have happened for him. They reset and Tome lands a spinning kick but Lineker goes on the offensive with a knee and a right hand. Tome pursues a takedown in the clinch and Linenker backs him off. Good right hand from Lineker and he takes Tome down at the end of the round. 10-9 Tome
Round two: Tome clinches, throwing a knee to the body and he shoots in for a takedown, getting stuffed. Lineker grabs top position but Tome attempts a leg lock to back him off. Lineker throws a left hand then a right and Tome drops, although not from a head shot. Lineker swarms with right hands and Tome is not fighting back. The ref puts a stop to it after repeated ground and pound strikes.
Final result: John Lineker defeats Jose Maria Tome via TKO (punches) at 1:03 of round two

Round one: Perosh lands a short right hand that drops Magalhaes. He follows up with big hammer fists that hurt Magalhaes more and pours them on, dropping right hands until the ref stops it. WOW that was ridiculous!

Round one: Nunes pops Gaff with a pair of heavy hooks and looks for a takedown. Gaff reverses the hold and jumps on Nunes' back thinking about an arm attack and a choke but Nunes remains composed and pops to her feet before taking Gaff down again. Nunes is quickly in side control and she drops an elbow on Gaff. Nunes passes to full mount now and she postures up, dropping some punches. Gaff explodes back to her feet but Nunes drags her down once more. Nunes throws a good elbow and then some more, posturing up from inside Gaff's guard. Nunes unloads some heavy strikes and Gaff completely wilts, forcing the referee to put a stop to it.
Final result: Amanda Nunes defeats Sheila Gaff via TKO (elbows) at 2:08 of round one

170 lbs.: Neil Magny vs. Sergio Moraes
Round one: Magny works a jab on the outside and Moraes pops him with a heavy leg kick and a lunging right hand. Magny will need to fight long to win this and avoid the ground. Moraes closes the distance and scores a trip takedown, landing on top in Magny's half guard. Slick guard pass from Moraes and he's now in side control with half of the round left to work. Moraes now passes to full mount and Magny is in a world of trouble. Moraes locks in a triangle from top position and rolls over to his back. Moraes tightens the hold, throwing brutal elbows and rolls Magny over once more, forcing a tap. That was absolutely dominant!
Final result: Sergio Moraes defeats Neil Magny via submission (mounted triangle) at 3:13 of round one

Round one: Snapping kick from McCall to get things started and he throws a couple more. Another pair of kicks from McCall and he steps inside with a few punches before side-stepping Santos' counters. They trade leg kicks and McCall is keeping Santos guessing with several feints. An outside kick from McCall lands with a sickening thud. Good exchange on the inside and McCall turns up the aggression, winging a head kick and dodging Santos' counter right hook. McCall is all over Santos and Santos attempts a takedown but McCall stuffs it with ease and takes top position in half guard. Good ground and pound from McCall and he's being extremely aggressive here. Nice knee from McCall as Santos pops back to his feet and the crowd cheers in approval. Right hand lands for Santos but McCall pops him with an inside leg kick. Head kick from McCall is blocked but he's really forcing Santos to fight on his heels. Spinning back fist misses from Santos but he scores with a right hand. They trade big shots on the inside and McCall eggs him on. Santos shoots in for a takedown but comes up short. 10-9 McCall Great round
Round two: McCall takes command of the cage center and fires off more kicks again. Santos misses with a huge right haymaker and McCall pops him with another pair of leg kicks. Santos shoots in for a takedown but McCall stuffs him again. Big kick from McCall and he's really flustering Santos right now. Nasty outside leg kick from McCall buckles Santos' knee and he throws another. Inside leg kick from McCall but Santos pops him with a right hand. McCall's hands are starting to drop. Santos throws a big right hand but McCall changes levels loooking for a takedown. Santos actually scores a trip to put McCall on his back although McCall backs up towards the fence and works to his feet. Good exchange from McCall but Santos lands a right. Nice uppercut connects for McCall to close out the round. 10-9 McCall but that was closer
Round three: Nice leg kick from McCall and Santos shoots in for a takedown but gets stuffed. McCall wings a high kick that's blocked but pops him with a follow-up inside leg kick. McCall lands a nice combination and finishes it off with a takedown attempt. McCall has a reverse body lock and he pops Santos with some knees to the thighs. Santos squirms back to safety and dodges a head kick. Santos steps forward with a big right hand but McCall circles away from it. McCall steps inside with a body punch and an inside leg kick that both score, but Santos pops him with a right hand again. Santos shoots in for a takedown and he stays with it, very briefly taking McCall down but McCall immediately gets to his feet and clocks him with a left hook. They reset in the cage center and McCall ducks a spinning back fist and again lands a left hook to the face. McCall stuffs a takedown, landing a knee on the way up and pops Santos with a combination before dancing away. Santos hits nothing but air with his last few right hands and McCall flashes a jab at the horn, eating a low blow right as the fight ends. 10-9 McCall

145 lbs.: Josh Clopton vs. Rani Yahya
Round one: Inside leg kick from Yahya and Clopton has control of the cage center. Yahya throws a combination and shoots in for a takedown, working very hard for it but he instead pulls guard once they get to the fence. Yahya is looking to attack Clopton's with a leg lock and he starts to put pressure on teh ankle. Clopton throws some right hands from bottom but Yahya sweeps him and immediately passes to half guard. Yahya mixes in a couple punches and he postures up, dropping a few right hammer fists. Yahya passes to full mount with a can opener I think. He's got 30 seconds to work and he postures up, dropping a few left hands. He stays on top until the round concludes. 10-9 Yahya
Round two: Yahya opens up with a combination and he changes levels, powering forward with another takedown attempt and he dumps Clopton on his back. Yahya has Clopton's hand trapped and he smacks him with some rights from top position. Yahya again passes to full mount and he drops a couple punches and elbows to soften him up. Clopton retains half guard but Yahya again passes to full mount. Yahya drops some short right hands as Clopton hangs on for dear life. Yahya thinks about a guillotine from mount but instead postures up and drops some short strikes. Clopton almost turns to give up his back but changes his mind. Yahya is in complete control until the round finishes. 10-8 Yahya
Round three: Yahya shoots in for a takedown but it's telegraphed from the outside and Clopton avoids it. Yahya again shoots in but he hits a switch and winds up on bottom with Clopton inside his guard. Yahya works for a sweep but Clopton stays heavy on top. Clopton backs off and they're back to standing. They trade punches and Cloptson scores with a left hook and a jumping knee before pressing Yahya into the fence. Yahya tries to go to the ground but Clopton stuffs him again and lands a couple right hands. Yahya sits up along the fence and Clopton backs off, again allowing him to stand. Clopton steps inside with a pair of left hands and Yahya scores with a right of his own. Yahya shoots in for a takedown and he's deep, relentlessly attacking Clopton's left leg and he's got him down along the fence. Yahya passes to side control as the fight concludes. 10-9 Clopton

Round one: Barroso wings a couple high kicks and is on his bicycle early as Oliveira works from the cage center. Barroso shoots in but from too far away and Oliveira fends it off. Outside leg kick connects for Barroso. Barroso changes levels but he can't find an opening to get a takedown, although he lands another heavy leg kick. Leg kick from Barroso is checked and Oliveira is just following Barroso around the cage. Another outside kick from Barroso and Oliveira isn't doing enough with his reach, scoring-wise. Inside leg kick from Barroso and Oliveira motions him to trade. Body kick from Barroso and then a nice inside leg kick. Nasty outside leg kick from Barroso and he avoids Oliveira's punches. Barroso wings a head kick but it comes up short. They clinch in the final seconds of the round. 10-9 Barroso
Round two: Heavy inside leg kick from Barroso and Oliveira pops him with a right hand. Big inside leg kick from Barroso but Oliveira steps inside and jumps on top of him on the ground with some nice punches. Good ground and pound from Oliveira and he steps back, allowing Barroso to get back to his feet. Barroso pops to his feet and dives inside as they clinch. Oliveira score an uppercut on the break and Barroso shoots in for a takedown but Oliveira fends him off. The ref separates them in the clinch and they're back in teh cage center. Nice right hand from Barroso and he scores again with a step in right hand. Left hook from Barroso and he scores again. Barroso lands a body kick and catches a body kick, taking Barroso down and dropping some nice right hands. Oliveira works his way back to his feet but he's pinned against the fence. Spinning attack from Barroso lands and he scores a body kick at the horn. 10-9 Barroso
Round three: Barroso quickly scores a takedown but Oliveira pops back to his feet. Oliveira presses Barroso into the fence and he's thinking about a takedown of his own. Barroso reverses the position and works for a takedown but Oliveira uses a whizzer to stay on his feet. Barroso still has a body lock and he turns the corner, dumping Oliveira on his back in side control. Oliveira retains half guard but Barroso uses the position to posture up and drop some left hands. Oliveira pops back to his feet but Barroso pops him with a knee on the way up. Nice right hand on the inside by Barroso but Oliveira grabs a Thai plum and lands a couple knees up the middle. Barroso hunches over and he's working for a single leg but gives up on it and takes inside position along the fence. The ref separates them and Oliveira has 70 seconds to win the round back or score a stoppage. Both men are sluggish, winging hooks in slow motion. Oliveira works for a takedown but Barroso stuffs it, although he's got inside position along the fence. 10-9 Barroso

Round one: Marunde takes the cage center early and he dodges a head kick from Andrade. Andrade is looking to counter early, and he scores with a left hand as Marunde steps forward. They trade right hands and Andrade lands an inside leg kick. Big short combination from Andrade and Marunde is hurt! Marunde tries to pop to his feet and Andrade pops him again! The ref steps in and puts a stop to it. Very, very impressive!
