GLORY 9 open work out photos from New York City

With Glory 9 around the corner this weekend (Saturday, June 22nd). Some of the fighters held an open workout and allowed anyone who wanted to come and watch some of the folks hit the mitts, MMA Mania's Cory Braiterman took the opportunity to photograph world-class kickboxers in his hometown - here are the best shots.

GLORY World Series, which will stage its first-ever championship series fight card in the United States two days from now (Sat., June 22, 2013), ramped up its promotional machine earlier this afternoon with an open workout session in New York, New York.

Notable fighters such as Brett Hlavacek, Wayne Barrett, Tyrone Spong and Daniel Ghita were on hand to hit the pads for anyone who wanted to watch. In fact, yours truly had the opportunity to make it, and here are some of my best shots of the afternoon.

GLORY 9: "New York" will be headlined by an eight-man tournament that features a line-up of top Light Heavyweight (209 pounds/95 kilograms) kickboxers this weekend, including "King of the Ring" Spong, from the legendary Hammerstein Ballroom in "The City That Never Sleeps."

Combat sports can watch a LIVE video stream of all the GLORY 9 action right here on MMAmania.com, beginning at 6 p.m. ET on fight night (June 22, 2013) right here.
