Longtime combat sports veteran Ray Sefo will get back in the cage after nearly two years when he takes on Dave Huckaba at WSOF 4 on Aug. 10, 2013.

In an unprecedented move for a North American mixed martial arts (MMA) promoter, World Series of Fighting (WSOF) President Ray Sefo is going to compete on his own fight card on Aug. 10, 2013 in Ontario, California.

The 42-year-old announced earlier this week that he would be making a return to competition as part of his quest to reach 100 professional combat sports fights, and on Friday's (June 14, 2013) WSOF 3 broadcast, Sefo revealed his opponent.

Taking on "Sugarfoot" will be Dave Huckaba, a 25-fight MMA journeyman who has fought on numerous regional promotions throughout the United States.

The heavyweight match up is likely to take place on the WSOF 4 main card, which will be broadcasted on NBC Sports Network from the Citizens Bank Arena.

Sefo (2-1) hasn't fought in an MMA bout since a first-round submission loss to Valentijn Overeem under the Strikeforce banner in Feb. 2011.

Of his two wins, one is by knockout all the way back in 2005 while the other via submission due to a knee injury suffered by his opponent in 2009.

Huckaba (20-5) is only a few years younger than Sefo at 39 years of age, but he has fought a lot in his seven years as a professional, even competing once under the Bellator MMA banner.

The California native was scheduled to compete against Rolles Gracie on the WSOF 3 card, but unfortunately the Brazilian was forced to pull out of the event due to injury.

Sefo vs. Huckaba is the second fight announced for WSOF 4. The other is a lightweight contest between Gesias Cavalcante and Tyson Griffin. A main event for the card has yet to be announced.
