PETA power!

Have you ever wanted to knock out animal abusers? Here's your chance.

Mixed martial artists Jake Shields and Aaron Simpson have been pretty outgoing about their vegan lifestyles and support for the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) organization. Both men, alongside Bellator veteran Georgi Karakhanyan have teamed up in a new video game to spread awareness about animal abuse.

Check out details from the press release below:

"Jake Shields has some unusual opponents to take on before his June 15 fight in Winnipeg: a secret underground animal experimentation ring. That's the plot of PETA's brand-new online game, Cage Fight: Knock Out Animal Abuse, in which players take control of old-school arcade versions of real-life MMA fighters to bash through waves of scummy animal experimenters and free animals from painful laboratory tests. In addition to Shields, gamers can play as fighters Aaron Simpson and Georgi Karakhanyan, with Octagon Girl Arianny Celeste there to cheer them on."

I checked out the game. It's pretty short but surprisingly fun. You get to beat up scientists, military and big pharmaceutical reps with a combinations of jumps, kicks, punches and a special charge attack, although it's slightly unrealistic as Jake Shields is knocking opponents out left and right with surprising power.

You can unlock special treats along the way including interviews with the fighters, wallpapers and more.

Try the game out for yourself below as PETA was kind enough to offer an embed link:
