"He wants to fight me, and I want to fight him ... [The UFC hasn't] offered me the fight yet. I'm just really hoping to get some answers soon ... I'm really hoping for it, and I think I will get the fight. I think I will be offered a title fight very soon. Nothing is set or signed, though ... I'm not going to be quiet anymore, I really want this fight. I really want to fight Jones. It's on. It's on. I will do anything I can to make it happen ... I hope I can fight him as soon as possible. I'm in full training waiting for some news."
-- Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) light heavyweight contender Alexander Gustafsson tells Ariel Helwani of MMA Fighting that he believes he will be offered the opportunity to challenge current 205-pound king Jon Jones for the title sooner than later. The Swedish fighter also revealed that he is tired of keeping his comments reserved and is going to be much more forward with his desires from hereon out. Ever since "The Mauler" and "Bones" were spotted at the same event in Russia last month and took a face-to-face staredown picture, buzz about a potential match up between the two towering fighters began to pick up. Shortly after, Gustafsson posted a message on his official Twitter account stating the fight was "on," a comment that Jones replied to by saying, "Fighting me is not good for you image." While nothing has been made official at this time, it seems both men are very interested in having the fight come to fruition, which typically is enough for UFC officials to go ahead and book a match up.
