Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is set to pull the trigger on its latest pay-per-view (PPV) fight card, UFC 161, which is scheduled to pop off TONIGHT (Sat., June 15, 2013) from MTS Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.
UFC 161 will feature a re-worked Light Heavyweight main event between Dan Henderson and Rashad Evans after the top two matches were scratched because of injuries to Renan Barao and Antonio Rogerio Nogueira, respectively.
Also scheduled for the promotion's first-ever fight card in "The Peg" is a Heavyweight showdown between Roy Nelson and Stipe Miocic, as well as a 135-pound female bout between Alexis Davis vs. Rosi Sexton, which will no doubt get the winner closer to a title shot after Miesha Tate collides with division champion Ronda Rousey later this year.
MMAmania.com will provide LIVE round-by-round, blow-by-blow coverage of the entire card this evening, starting with the Facebook "Prelims," which are scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. ET, right on through the FX-televised under card bouts at 8 p.m. ET and then main card PPV action, which is slated to begin at 10 p.m. ET.
Many of our readers check-in before, during and after the televised action to share their thoughts on all the exciting action. Therefore, feel free to leave a comment (or 161) before you leave and chat with all the other Maniacs during the show -- it always turns out to be a great discussion.
Keep in mind that we will also be the spot for the latest news, recaps and post-fight analysis after "Evans vs. Henderson."
