If you were expecting fireworks last night (Sat., May 4, 2013) at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, you had another thing coming. Instead, it was your typical, run-of-the-mill mostly dominant performance from Floyd Mayweather, who reaffirmed his status as the pound-for-pound best boxer on the planet when he cruised to a unanimous decision victory over Robert Guerrero by scores of 117-111 across the board. "Money" used all his usual tricks: a deadly right hand, the elusive style that keeps him from taking any significant damage, and fancy footwork. Guerrero hung around in a couple rounds, finding some success when he had Mayweather pressed against the ropes or in the corner but that never lasted long and by the end of the 12 round battle, it was clear who the better fighter was.
