We are just over one-third into the 2013 calendar year and already there have been some fairly stunning upsets in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).
One of those upsets was pulled off by Swedish featherweight Akira Corassani, who defeted Robbie Peralta by unanimous decision at UFC on FUEL TV 9: "Mousasi vs. Latifi" on April 6, 2013 in Stockholm, Sweden.
Many fans and media members were pegging Peralta as the next big thing at 145-pounds after a 23-second knockout of Jason Young, but Corassani brought all those talks to a screeching halt.
Corassani showed no fear of "Problems" as he went after Peralta for three hard rounds until the final bell rang and he was the clear winner. The 30-year-old set a pace Peralta could not keep up with and it improved his record to 2-0 under the UFC banner.
The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) reality show veteran is riding high on the heels of the biggest win of his career and he took the time to speak with Harris Masood of MMAmania.com about his win over Peralta, what's next in his career and more.
