I personally don't even care anymore. You see more and more Boxers falling in love with the sport that is mma. (mike tyson, and bernard hopkins even recently took back his statements about mma sucking.")
First of all, most boxing fans say MMA fighters couldn't "cut it" in a pro boxing match. I would like to see how "great" the defense of these pro boxers like gayweather are once they put on the tiny gloves these mma guys wear. A lot of punches would get through no matter how good the footwork or defensive blocking techniques of the best boxers are. As far as crossing over from mma to boxing is concerned, I think with those giant gloves and not having to worry about wrestling and leg kicks, a lot of mma fighters would have good results with their clinching abilities / "dirty" boxing, combined with their technique.(which is apparently lacking according to boxing fans.) Tell me boxing fans, could your favorites still be good if they had to wear those mma gloves and fight in a cage? even if the rules were the same exact rules as a traditional boxing match?
