UFC Quick Quote: Dana White says Mike Tyson is 'the Justin Bieber for grown men who like fighting'

Your world is my world and my fight is your fight. My breath is your breath ... and your heart.

"What are we going to do, say 'no' to Mike Tyson? I wasn't about to argue with him…. He had fun this weekend. He's the Justin Bieber for grown men who like fighting -- he makes everybody go crazy. He's fun to watch fights with, he's fun to hang around with. I like having him around."

-- During his latest media scrum (watch full video here) Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) President Dana White detailed the Mike Tyson-inspired decision to award T.J. Grant a $50,000 "Knockout of the Night" bonus rather than Junior dos Santos, who delivered a highlight-reel backward spinning heel kick to set up the spectacular third round finish of Mark Hunt (watch highlights here). Tyson, who last night (May 25, 2013) sat cageside next to White at UFC 160, which emanated from MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, was apparently more impressed with Grant's first round finish of Gray Maynard earlier on the pay-per-view (PPV) main card to clinch the No. 1 Lightweight contender spot. For mixed martial arts (MMA) fans in the know, stopping a top-ranked, durable fighter such as "The Bully" so early and so definitively is no small feat. Regardless, the way in which "Cigano" polished off "Super Samoan" was ridiculous, especially for a massive Heavyweight who had just turned in 14 minutes of energy-draining fisticuffs. The good news is that dos Santos pocketed a separate $50,000 "Fight of the Night" bonus and it wouldn't be too far-fetched to assume that White and Co. greased the former champion a little extra just to make him, as well as "Iron Mike," a little happier. Indeed, with fighters like Glover Teixeira and dos Santos fawning over Tyson immediately after their respective victories, it wouldn't be a shock to think that White, too, got caught up in the 1990s-era boxing nostalgia. Anyone take issue with Tyson -- who was caught in the middle of a weigh-in scuffle one day prior (see the pic here) -- having such a huge presence, and now apparently decision-making input, at the latest "Velasquez vs. Bigfoot 2" UFC event?
