Get ready for a "Bigfoot" sighting this weekend (Sat., May 25, 2013) inside MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Antonio Silva will look to continue his impressive mixed martial arts (MMA) run, as well as even the score, when he collides with Heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez in the UFC 160 main event. And to hear the Brazilian tell it, which you can in the UFC 160 "Countdown" video above (other segments are below), he is ready to prove that his technical knockout loss at the hands of "Brown Pride" at UFC 146 almost exactly one year ago was the exception, not the rule.
Velasquez, naturally, begs to differ after reclaiming his world title from Junior dos Santos at UFC 155 late last year.
Indeed, the hour-long Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) promotion special, which recently debuted on FUEL TV (more here), provided a behind-the-scenes look as Velasquez prepares to defend his 265-pound title for the first time ever against perhaps the most overlooked, yet dangerous, fighter in the division.
In addition to "Velasquez vs. Bigfoot 2," the "Countdown" to UFC 160 special also featured the top two pay-per-view (PPV) main card bouts, Junior dos Santos vs. Mark Hunt and Glover Teixeira vs. James Te Huna, both of which will have meaningful impacts for the winners in their respective divisions.
Oh, there is also a No. 1 Lightweight contender eliminator match, Gray Maynard vs. T.J. Grant, on the PPV main card, with 155-pound division champion, Ben Henderson, waiting in the wings for his next title challenger.
If for whatever reason you don't feel like watching the video up above online right now, or simply would prefer to record it on a DVR at a later date, "Countdown" to UFC 160 will air on the following dates (all times ET):
- Weds., May 22 at 5 a.m. and 6 p.m. ET
- Thurs., May 23 at 11 p.m. ET
- Fri., May 24 at 6 p.m. ET
- Sat., May 25 at 7 p.m. ET
Enjoy!
See you then!
