"They asked me to go up for a week to spar with him [Georges St. Pierre] and I thought they were just going to kind of beat me up a little bit and throw me out, but I was willing to go anyway for the experience. But they treated me really cool and GSP is by far the most humble and deserving champion I've ever met. He handles it really well --his lifestyle-- because he gets a lot of attention all the time and it's exhausting."
-- Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Welterweight Dan Hardy shares his thoughts on reigning 170-pound champion Georges St. Pierre in an interview on "The Joe Rogan Experience" podcast last week (watch it here). "The Outlaw" fought and was defeated by St. Pierre at UFC 111 in March 2010, but afterwards was invited to fly to Montreal to train with "Rush" at Tri-Star gym. During that time the two became friends and the Brit is now officially of the opinion that St. Pierre is the "most humble and deserving champion" he has ever met. Prior to their fight at UFC 111, Hardy repeatedly made disparaging comments towards St. Pierre, but now it seems he only has nice things to say about the French-Canadian.
