Mixed martial arts (MMA) fans are buzzing over last weekend's "Knockout of the Night" by Irish import Conor McGregor.
The featherweight phenom put the screws to tough-talking Marcus Brimage at the UFC on FUEL TV 9: "Mousasi vs. Latifi" event, which took place on April 6, 2013 at the Ericsson Globe Arena in Stockholm, Sweden. Not only was his Octagon debut impressive, it came just three days after having a dentist wreck shop on one of his wisdom teeth.
McGregor channels Gunny Highway and says he had to "improvise, overcome and adapt."
In fact, "Notorious" even includes footage of his dental plan for his UFC on FUEL TV 9 fight video blog, which chronicles his experiences before, during and after the event. Following his masterful display of striking against "The 'Bama Beast," there's been a lot of speculation as to how far this up-and-coming talent can go in the 145-pound division.
All the way, if you ask UFC President Dana White.
