Longtime middleweight title chaser Michael Bisping will be "fighting off emotion" when he throws hands opposite Alan Belcher at the upcoming UFC 159: "Jones vs. Sonnen" pay-per-view (PPV) event on April 27, 2013 at the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ.
That's when "The Count" says he's at his best.
Bisping (23-5) was handily defeated by Vitor Belfort at the UFC on FX 7 event earlier this year in Brazil, dropping him to 1-2 over his last three bouts. Likewise, Belcher (18-7) saw the 185-pound title picture fade away when he was upended by the venerable Yushin Okami last December in Las Vegas.
A loss here will eliminate one of these two veterans from the "mix" for the foreseeable future.
UFC 159 will feature a light heavyweight title fight pitting champion Jon Jones against challenger and fellow TUF coach Chael Sonnen. Bitter 205-pound rivals Phil Davis and Vinny Magalhaes have also been scheduled to hook 'em up in "Dirty Jersey."
