Norman Parke vs Kazuki Tokudome Lightweight fight in the works for UFC 162

Two rising lightweight fighters, Norman Parke and Kazuki Tokudome, are on a collision course for Fourth of July weekend in "Sin City."

A Lightweight battle between rising 155-pound prospects Norman Parke and Kazuki Tokudome is in the works for UFC 162, which takes place at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, on July 6, 2013, according to the official Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) website.

Parke, the Lightweight winner of The Ultimate Fighter (TUF): "The Smashes," is currently riding a seven-fight win streak, including three submissions and one technical knockout. His style focuses heavily on a pressure-based wrestling and clinch game coupled with an aggressive top game, leading to 12 mixed martial arts (MMA) career submissions.

This will mark Parke's first bout since defeating Colin Fletcher in "The Smashes" Finale via dominant unanimous decision at UFC on FX 6: "Sotiropoulos vs. Pearson" in Dec. 2012.

Tokudome, 26, who hails from Tokyo, Japan, is currently on a three-fight win streak, boasting eight stoppages in 12 career victories. His aggressive style led to a unanimous decision victory over TUF 15 alum Christiano Marcello at UFC on Fuel TV 8 back in March 2013.

Tokudome will look to be a rare Japanese success story inside the Octagon with back-to-back wins. And if he comes out on top, Parke would be a fairly good name to add to his hit list as he ascents the Lightweight ladder.

UFC 162: "Silva vs. Weidman" is headlined by a Middleweight championship contest that pits top-ranked pound-for-pound fighter and longtime 185-pound kingpin Anderson Silva against undefeated "All American" Chris Weidman.

Top Featherweight title contenders.Ricardo Lamas and Chan Sung Jung, are also booked to battle to likely determine the next 145-pound No. 1 contender, while another pair of talented Middleweights, Mark Munoz and Tim Boetsch, will look to get back on track at each others' expense in other pay-per-view (PPV) main card action.

That's not all.
