It's almost time for Chael Sonnen to put up or shut up.
UFC 159 "Countdown," which was today released online prior to its scheduled debut on FUEL TV tomorrow (April 23, 2013), is the last in a long line of promotional tools to tout the upcoming pay-per-view (PPV) event at the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J., this Saturday night (April 27, 2013).
The hour-long Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) special, naturally, spent most of its time providing a behind-the-scenes look as current Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones prepares to defend his 205-pound title against former two-time 185-pound No. 1 contender, Chael Sonnen, in the main event of the evening.
It started from the beginning, with the cancelation of UFC 151 to the "Jon Jones Special Pizza," which is loaded with extra cheese and chicken, right up until their time together as coaches on The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 17.
In addition to "Jones vs. Sonnen," the "Countdown" to UFC 159 special also featured the top two pay-per-view (PPV) main card bouts, Michael Bisping vs. Alan Belcher and Phil Davis vs. Vinny Magalhaes, both of which have a good deal of heat and intrigue behind them thanks in large part to a pair of social media platforms, YouTube.com and Twitter.com, respectively.
Go get your slips ... and jits!
