Following the UFC on FOX 7 main event, UFC President Dana White shared his thoughts on the controversial Benson Henderson vs. Gilbert Melendez lightweight title headliner with Ariel Helwani on the FUEL TV post-fight show and revealed that he scored the fight for "Smooth."

"All of his [Henderson] fights are controversial, half think he won, half think the other one won. I had it three rounds to two for Ben Henderson and the second round was one of those wishy-washy rounds."

-- Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) President Dana White tells Ariel Helwani on the UFC on FOX 7: "Henderson vs. Melendez" post-fight show on FUEL TV that he scored the main event fight between Benson Henderson and Gilbert Melendez in favor of "Smooth." The fight was extremely close and competitive (read the FightMetric report here), but two of the three judges felt Henderson did enough to earn the win and, like White, gave the reigning champion the nod in the lightweight championship contest. Scores for the fight by fans and media members varied all across the board, but in what seems like a recurring event, Henderson walked away with his belt in a razor-thin and debatable victory.
