The Ultimate Fighter 17 Finale drug test results are in from the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC), which on Friday confirmed that all 24 fighters tested for illegal/banned substances after competing at the "Faber vs. Jorgensen" mixed martial arts (MMA) event on April 13, 2013 in Las Vegas have all passed with flying colors.
Each combatant was screened for performance enhancing drugs such as steroids as well as drugs of abuse such as cocaine and marijuana, among others.
Results from these battery of tests all returned negative, according to an e-mail send to MMAmania.com from NSAC Executive Director Keith Kizer.
TUF 17 Finale featured a main event between bantamweight contender Urijah Faber and Scott Jorgensen. "The California Kid" delivered another strong performance with a fourth-round submission of "Young Guns" for his second victory in a 49-day span.
Kelvin Gastelum, Travis Browne and Bubba McDaniel also scored crucial victories on the main card, but the highlight of the FX card was the two-and-a-half round war between Cat Zingano and Miesha Tate that ultimately saw Zingano emerge victorious by third-round technical knockout.
