Check out the week that was at! We've got interviews, comments, fanposts, videos and gifs!

Welcome, Maniacs, to the fortieth edition of "This Week in" MMAmania is a gigantic and glorious place and we pump out a ridiculous amount of content. If you don't refresh this site every 60 minutes, you might just miss something amazing.

Have no fears, that's what this weekly article is all about! We'll recap the best of all things MMAmania, whether it be a great comment, a Fan Post, an article, video or something else.

- Comment of the Week: This one goes to vhw_ for his hilarious response to a Miesha Tate backer who wrote an essay in the comments section about her fight against Cat Zingano being an early stoppage.

do you suck the corn out of her shit or something?
give it up, buddy. She lost, fair & fucking square

- vhw_

- Article of the week: You learn the most from your losses, and I love Mike Bohn's feature on Josh Thomson talking about his first career loss to Yves Edwards back in the day. If you missed it, go back and check it out.

- MMAmania's Verbal Submission Podcast: The podcast was back this week as yours truly and Mike Bohn talked to upcoming UFC 159 fighter Kurt Hollobaugh as well as previewing UFC on Fox 7. We had some technical difficulties live, but the archived version works just fine.

Did you miss it? Don't worry, you can listen to the archived podcast by clicking on the player below:

- Statistic of the Week: This week's statistic has nothing to do with fighters. One poor referee gets busted with over 1000 marijuana plants and everyone flocks to the article. Not only was Josh Rosenthal's legal situation our most visited article, it was also our most commented.

- Fanpost of the Week: After a brief hiatus, unambig is back with his Bendo vs El Nino quick and the dirty article. Go check that shit out.

- Honorable mention fanpost of the week: I don't give enough love to the Fornication Friday posts. If you're into that sort of thing, go see the chaos for yourself.

- Honorable mention comment of the week: This one goes to both Mega1989 and Oilcheck for their Stepbrothers tribute during a bonding experience about milfs.

im pro milf
They know some tricks these young girls don't know

- Mega1989

did we just become best friends?

- OilCheck

If you were a chick, whose the one guy you would sleep with?

- Mega1989

bff's for life

- Mega1989

- Interview of the Week: We had some interesting interviews this week, none cooler than former Strikeforce lightweight champion Josh Thomson talking about his upcoming fight with Nate Diaz.

But that's not all. We also have interviews with UFC on Fox 7's Myles Jury and two parts with elite coach and trainer Duke Roufus.

- Burn of the Week: I bring this one back every time I see a good burn on Mania. This time, our own Jesse Holland called out steady2wheels after an odd comment:

what a fake ass white boy

- steady2wheels

shut up Rashad

- Jesse Holland

- Video of the Week: This video taken from the TUF 18 tryouts, the first ever that included women, was pretty awesome.

We don't just have great content on MMAmania, our writers also are very active on Twitter, most notably our beloved Geno Mrosko. Unfortunately, Geno seems to have deleted his Twitter account a while ago, so other Mania writers had to step up their game. Let's see how they did.

Here's our honorary #GenoTime Tweet of the Week: This time around, our winner is George Halvatzis Jr., who made an observation about all the websites that repost our work on MMAmania:

Googling my name is fun. I see that apparently I'm an author for tons of websites I've never heard of.

-George Halatzis Jr.

If you want to catch any good tweets from your Mania writers, here are our accounts: Thomas Myers, Jesse Holland,Adam Guillen Jr., Mike Bohn, Andrew Richardson, George Halvatsis Jr., Jason Probst and Brian Hemminger.

- Obligatory TNA of the Week:

- Scottidog's "Good guy comment of the week" - In light of the tragedy in Boston, I thought wooly shambler's first comment in the "MMA Community Reacts to Boston Bombings" article was perfect:

Any maniacs from Boston I love ya guys.
Be proud and stand strong

- wooly shambler

Lastly, let's finish off the week with some Maniac debate. As the week comes to a close, let's get some input:

With eight Strikeforce vs UFC fights taking place on Saturday for UFC on Fox 7, which promotion will get the upper hand?

That's it for this week. If you've got an extra suggestions for content, or nominations for articles, comments or discussion topics, please feel free to e-mail me at (and I made this e-mail especially for this):
