Injury cancels Jon Tuck vs. Norman Parke fight at UFC on FOX 7 in San Jose

Jon Tuck suffered an undisclosed injury and has been forced to withdraw from UFC on FOX 7 in San Jose, leaving Norman Parke without a viable replacement for fight night.

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is lightening its load for this weekend's UFC on FOX 7: "Henderson vs. Melendez" festivities, which go down at the HP Pavilion in San Jose, Calif., on April 20, 2013, now that Jon Tuck has been injured and forced to withdraw from his duties at the "Shark Tank."

With less than a week before the event, promotion officials have opted to scrap his bout entirely, according to MMA Junkie, rather than search for a last-minute replacement. Unless, of course, Ilir Latifi can make another insane weight cut to hit 155 and challenge Norman Parke.

Not likely, which means the FX-televised "Prelims" are now down to five official fights.

The show must go on!

UFC on FOX 7 is headlined by a lightweight championship bout between reigning division kingpin Ben Henderson taking on former Strikeforce 155-pound titleholder Gilbert Melendez. In the co-main event, former UFC Heavyweight Champion Frank Mir has been tasked with welcoming undefeated Olympian Daniel Cormier into the Octagon.
